Drug Crop Con: Opium ‘Sunflowers’ Pop Up In India

In the North of India, poppy crop planters are conned into cultivating opium “sunflowers” by cross-border dealers. Not knowing, or not wanting to know that poppy cultivation is illegal, farmers have been growing poppy crops to support their families. Government officials have been making a new push to resolve this problem.
